<p>Festival season is all very well if you&#8217;re 23 and happy to survive on warm cider and two hours’ sleep. But if your idea of a perfect summer weekend involves excellent food, live music, and not having to wrestle with a tent in a muddy field at midnight, then <a href="https://www.thepighotel.com/events/garden-party-at-the-pig-at-combe/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Smoked &amp; Uncut at THE PIG-at Combe</a> could be your dream ticket.</p>



<p>Returning to Devon on&nbsp;<strong>Fri 10 and Sat 11 July</strong>, THE PIG’s much-loved garden party brings together live music, seriously good food, cocktails, DJs and laid-back summer vibes in a stunning South West setting. Even better, it&#8217;s part of THE PIG’s 15th birthday celebrations, so expect a party vibe.</p>

<p>THE PIG doesn&#8217;t throw these parties just anywhere. Devon is one of only three locations hosting a Smoked &amp; Uncut Garden Party, alongside Hampshire and Kent. Which makes this a bit of a hot ticket for food lovers, music fans and anyone who appreciates a festival where the toilets are considerably more civilised than average. Landing just as exam season ends and summer holidays begin, the timing feels spot on for a celebratory summer outing</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-2-the-food-alone-is-a-reason-to-go">2. The food alone is a reason to go</h2>

<p>Let&#8217;s be honest, festivals can be a bit of a financial black hole. You buy your ticket, then spend the rest of the day haemorrhaging money on food and drinks. Not here.</p>



<p>Friday&#8217;s warm-up party runs from&nbsp;5.30pm – 10pm&nbsp;and costs&nbsp;<strong>£50pp, including food</strong>. Think generous bowls of homemade curry from THE PIG chefs, chilled live music, pop-up bars, DJs and firepits as the sun goes down. Very Friday-night-in-Devon-core.</p>



<p>Saturday&#8217;s main event runs from&nbsp;12pm – 10pm, with tickets priced at&nbsp;<strong>£35 for adults and £17.50 for children</strong>. Expect live local bands, BBQ feasting, wood-fired pizzas from the Garden Oven, plenty of bars and enough food options to keep everyone happy. Given this is THE PIG, where food is practically a personality trait, we&#8217;d say that&#8217;s money well spent.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">3. It&#8217;s a festival, but make it a garden party</h2>

<p>Forget late-night treks back to a campsite and questionable portable toilets. Smoked &amp; Uncut feels more like the ultimate country-house garden party than a traditional festival. Think live local bands, DJs, glitter stations, pop-up bars, cabaret performers and even acrobats entertaining the crowds throughout the day. The Friday night event wraps up at 10pm, while Saturday finishes at a civilised hour, meaning you get all the fun without sacrificing your Sunday. The whole thing has that distinctly THE PIG feel: relaxed, stylish and fun without taking itself too seriously.</p>

<p>Only at THE PIG could a music festival involve a massage and a wander around the kitchen garden. Throughout Saturday, guests can book 15-minute pop-up treatments from THE PIG&#8217;s Potting Shed therapists, while regular kitchen garden tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the hotel&#8217;s famous plot-to-plate philosophy.</p>



<p>Need a breather? Retreat to the kitchen garden, sink into a deckchair beneath the soundtrack of a giant Roberts Radio and recharge with a bitter orange spritz in hand. </p>
