One for wheel-obsessed kids who love tractors! <a href="https://strawberryfieldslifton.co.uk/collections/big-machine-week-2026" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Big Machine Week</a> at Lifton&#8217;s award-winning farm shop, Strawberry Fields, is a chance to meet the farmers, watch farm machinery demos, see vintage tractors and take tractor-trailer rides. Think Devon County Show come early, without the stalls and giant bulls, but with homemade doughnuts. Costs a reasonable £3.50pp, and under 2s are free.



Exeter&#8217;s Royal Albert Memorial Museum is appealing to budding young scientists and bookworms with a new free exhibition, <a href="https://rammuseum.org.uk/whats-on/wow-amazing-science-in-childrens-books/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wow! Amazing Science in Children’s Books</a> (until 26 Apr 2026). Based upstairs in Gallery 22, it showcases artwork by artists who illustrate science books for children, with brain-expanding themes, including the Solar System, The World Around Us, What Are We Made Of, What We Eat, Machines and Mechanics, and Futures Imagined.&nbsp;



Pop your trainers on and trot over to Home Park Stadium on Weds 18 Feb for Plymouth&#8217;s <a href="https://homeparkstadium.com/celebration-women-and-girls-sport-sponsored-babcock" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Celebration of Women and Girls in Sport</a>. It&#8217;s a chance to try out new sports, meet local teams, and try activities like cheerleading, boxing, football and water sports. It looks to be a really well-thought through day with representatives of big local teams there, including Exeter Rugby Chiefs, and a Health and Wellbeing Zone offering expert advice on physical and mental health.
