<p>Buckfastleigh&#8217;s beautiful Stable is open only on Saturdays (11am-4pm), but we suggest you clear the diary! Here&#8217;s a cornucopia of reasonably priced pre-loved slouchy boho fashion, jewellery and local-sourced toiletries, candles and the like. Zoe, who owns the store, is so <em>very</em> stylish, and it all comes out in her fabulous curation (also seen in The Doe wine bar and restaurant next door). You could spend hours in here browsing. It&#8217;s addictive.</p>

<p>Respect due, The Real McCoy has been bringing cool to Exeter&#8217;s Fore Street since the 80s, way before vintage was on trend, and even more so now American retro is back with a vengeance, so it&#8217;s got a wide appeal for all ages. <p>This Aladdin&#8217;s cave is a dream for dressing-up &#8211; it&#8217;s stuffed to the rafters with vintage hats, shoe, handbags, coats, military, designer, American varsity etc etc. If you can&#8217;t find it here surely it doesn&#8217;t exist?! The owners are known for their brilliant styling and honest advice, and they&#8217;ll have you out of your comfort zone and into vintage Jean Muir faster than you can say &#8220;I <em>rock</em> fluid jersey!&#8221; A must-visit if you&#8217;ve got a theme night or fancy dress party coming up.</p>

<p>A small but tasteful range of pre-loved clothing, which might include fairly modern pieces, but they&#8217;re tastefully sought out and helpfully sorted by colour so I rarely go without trying something on. Sizes tend to be on the small to medium size, so excellent pickings for the petite. You can also pick up lovely gifts, from quality stationary and scented candles and the odd bit of homeware.</p>
