Pass the Gin
And make it a Wicked Wolf. Have you tried this award-winning Exmoor artisan gin yet? Now's your chance!
It’s no secret that we’re partial to the odd G&T at Muddy Towers (my mouth’s watering at the mere thought), but don’t try and pretend we’re the only ones. Whether you’re totally over this lacklustre spring, or reckon you’re going to need a celebratory drink for surviving the Easter hols, there are plenty of good reasons to have a decent bottle in the house this month. And why not make it the Spirit of Exmoor, Wicked Wolf?
I was enjoying a rare child-free night out recently at a gin bar and spotted the devastatingly handsome bottle sitting on the shelf. When I asked the experts if they rated it among the gazillion other brands, they told me without hesitation that it’s one of their absolute faves. So there. It, naturally, fell into my glass after that.
And with good reason, too. I mean, for starters, this artisan gin, distilled on Exmoor by husband and wife team Pat Patel and Julie Heap, is Muddy Award-winning; which means that you voted it top of the (alco)-pops last year, and I reckon you guys know your gin. Made from 11 exotic botanicals, including juniper and coriander, hibiscus and kaffir lime leaves, each one is individually distilled and then blended by hand. The result is a smooth and contemporary-tasting gin [read: blimmin’ delicious], distilled in small batches, with distinct layers of citrus and pepper notes. And the top tip from Mr & Mrs Wicked Wolf? This one’s best served over ice and lime with a sprig of thyme.
So how do you make gin taste even better? When it’s free! Fancy laying your mitts on a bottle? You could win yourself a bottle of Wicked Wolf for your drinks cabinet – just keep an eye on our FB, Insta and Twitter feeds. Then be sociable and FOLLOW, LIKE and SHARE the posts. Be super-sociable and tag a mate, too; if they win, surely they’ll treat you to a double measure? Cheers!
