<p>This exquisite collection of three cottages, sleeps up to 8, plus two suites and two rooms in the village. We’re talking oh-so-stylish decor, gorgeous art and, of course, the chance to tuck into those ingredient-led Farmers Arms’ dishes without the drive home. <p>Luxe self-catering lodges &#8211; that&#8217;s very us! Surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside and crafted from local granite and English oak, Bovey Castle’s dog-friendly lodges have the main hotel on the doorstep and full use of the hotel’s facilities (hello Elan Spa). Set across three floors, with three en-suite bedrooms (max 6 adults and 2 kids), each lodge is individually designed with an open-plan fully-fitted kitchen, lounge, and dining room. So you can do the family meals, or order in from Bovey Castle when you fancy a break.</p>

<p>Owned by Kenn&#8217;s only pub, The Ley Arms, this contemporary cottage is a tranquil Tardis, open-plan downstairs and three doubles upstairs looking out onto the village of Kenn and fields beyond. It&#8217;s a fairy-lit cross between a gentleman&#8217;s club and Goldilocks&#8217; cottage, with an  unexpected surprise in the bijou courtyard garden &nbsp;– an undercover hot tub. Always a winner, and pleasantly urban for such a pretty rural spot. It&#8217;s one of two cottages, along with suites attached to the pub. <p>A little slice of the Med in Devon, this quaint pub with rooms has 8 sea-facing choices, plus family suites, beach huts and quaint restored fishermen’s cottages, all designed with a fresh New England feel. If it’s just the two of you, I’d recommend you check into one of the beach huts – they’re amazing, with their own private sunbathing terrace and awesome sea views. Book the sunshine before you come, sit on the terrace with an Aperol and play seal-spotting. </p>
