<p>Owned by Kenn&#8217;s only pub, The Ley Arms, this newly-decorated cottage is a tranquil Tardis, open-plan downstairs and three doubles upstairs looking out onto the village of Kenn and fields beyond. It&#8217;s a fairy-lit cross between a gentleman&#8217;s club and Goldilocks&#8217; cottage, with an  unexpected surprise in the bijou courtyard garden &nbsp;– an undercover hot tub. Always a winner, and pleasantly urban for such a pretty rural spot.</p>

We&#8217;re talking designer furniture, walk-in showers, cinema projectors, telescopes for star-gazing, wood-fired hot tubs and, if you book The Hideout &#8211; which you really, really should &#8211; the only moving indoor-outdoor bath in the UK. Nestled in 20 leafy acres of UNESCO North Devon Biosphere Reserve, here somehow manages to be both the perfect romantic stay and a stompingly-good family break. Go figure!</p>

<p>If it’s a date night you’re planning, you can’t get cooler than this retro 1950s’ American Airstream, close to Dartmouth. We love the idea of popping this one as a surprise for your bloke, “Darling, just put on this blindfold” (no funny business, now), and driving him here to open the door on a&nbsp;gleaming Airstream with the original 1961&nbsp;Wally Byam’s Caravanners Club stickers still on the windows. It comes with its own private terrace, table football and a wood-fired hot tub for romancing. Hot dang!&nbsp;</p>
