<p>The annual panto at Queen&#8217;s Theatre is one of the biggies, and this year they&#8217;re staging the classic Beauty and the Beast. We can expect the bookish beauty, Belle, the village heartthrob, Gaston, an enchanting Fairy sprinkling magic dust in her wake, and of course, the Beast, reminding us that true beauty lies within and ergo life&#8217;s too short to forgo the interval ice cream.</p>

<p>Wonder Pantomimes bring the story of <em>Beauty and the Beast</em> to the city centre theatre as part of a <a href="https://www.hotrockgroup.co.uk/wp-beauty-and-the-beast" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">six-week national tour</a> which also takes in RHS Garden Rosemoor, Shaftesbury Theatre Dawlish, Tiverton Community Arts Theatre and Seaton Gateway. Lots of choice, lots of laughs.</p>

<p>The brilliant Le Navet Bete are giving us festive tingles with this Swiftie-style soundtrack and sassy Cinders, while aceing their false eyelash and big wig game. If you want a laugh, watch the trailer and get booking &#8211; we hear that half the tickets have already been snapped up.</p>

<p>With <em>Coronation Street</em>’s and <em>Doctors</em> Scott Wright as Prince Charming, Brittany Feeney from Miss Great Britain as Cinderella and Exmouth’s own Amy Blackwell as the Fairy Godmother. And take a bow &#8211; two real Shetland ponies on stage in every performance, bless &#8217;em.</p>

<p>Promising to be the <em>stalk</em> of the town, Princess Theatre&#8217;s production of the giant tale stars Jennie Dale (CBeebies and <em>Swashbuckle</em>) as Fairy Fushcia, John Altman (<em>Eastenders</em>) as King Custard and Matt Lapinskas (<em>Dancing On Ice</em> and <em>Eastenders </em>) as Fleshcreep. </p>

<p>Mirror, mirror, on the wall, will this be the fairest pantomime of them all? I&#8217;d say so with this cast, including <em>Birds of a Feather</em> star Lesley Joseph as The Wicked Queen and the always amusingly arch Rob Rinder as The Man In The Mirror, plus comedian Andy Ford as Muddles and West End stars Samuel Holmes and Scott Maurice as The Governess and The Prince. Were also promised amazing special effects, stunning sets and beautiful costumes direct from The London Palladium.</p>
