Craving a wild weekend but not sure where to start? We know! Take a peek at The Living Project and their range of curated adventures, from climbing and surfing in Morocco to a 24-hour spot of wild camping on Dartmoor.

What we love about The Living Project is their focus on slow travel and wellbeing. A break with their mountain leaders and coaches won’t be about going faster or reaching the highest peak, it’s about connecting with nature in a meaningful way that’s good for you and the planet.

Most of the tours aren’t overly physically taxing either: if you can walk 5k in a day, then you’re a shoe-in. For example, Thrive in the Wild takes you on foot from the high tors of Dartmoor to the sea, learning to forage and wild-cook en route, with a chance to wild swim, canoe and camp under the stars.

After more of a challenge? The Wild Pilgrim Adventure is set in the wild ‘rough bounds’ of the Scottish Highlands – where you’ll carry everything you need for four nights of wild camping, moving through some of the UK’s most stunning, untouched landscapes.

They offer women-only weekends, men-only weekends and for groups, plus they’re happy to tailor breaks to you, such as an alternative hen or stag do. Go on your own, or with your partner, or drag the teen along for some bonding (minimum age is 14).

Founded in Exeter by a talented team of outdoorsy types, The Living Project is run by Emily Graves, a yoga and mindfulness teacher; Josh Bulpin and Cormac Davey, both mountain leaders and coaches with oodles of experience leading groups. This trio are all passionate about adventure, who walk the talk that getting outdoors in awe-inspiring places is good for your holistic health and wellbeing.

Fancy it? Take a look at The Living Project’s adventures in 2023, and go find your wild weekend!
