Perched at the top of Haldon Hill, Exeter Racecourse has a strong reputation in the racing world with quality horses often starting their careers at the course, and with 17 racedays in the season, there is certainly set to be a day to suit everyone.
The feature raceday of the season is Haldon Gold Cup Day, always a fantastic spectacle, as Grade 2 chasers make their seasonal reappearance. It’s Devon’s richest race, and this year the race will be worth £80,000 – a new record for Exeter Racecourse. While the horses will be hitting all the right notes out on course, the music will be keeping the party going for racegoers. The roaming band, The Hip Cats, will be on site welcoming racegoers and keeping the positive vibes flowing throughout the afternoon before The Wild Murphy’s take to the stage after racing.
Another key date in the diary for Exeter Racecourse is New Year’s Day – the perfect way to kickstart 2024. The festive atmosphere is sure to keep the party spirits high before we head back to work on the 2nd January.
Exeter Racecourse is renowned for quality hospitality, and a day at the races is the perfect time for a special occasion. You can upgrade your day and enjoy a brilliant view and first-class food while the action unfolds out on the track. Alternatively, you could bring a group along and enjoy a Private Box for the day. Private Boxes are the ideal option for entertaining clients, colleagues, and customers or celebrating a special birthday or anniversary with your family and friends. With your own private balcony access, you and your guests can soak up the atmosphere, while also enjoying access to each enclosure and the Parade Ring.
Exeter Racecourse’s renowned conference and events centre is open throughout the year – the Haldon Stand is the perfect venue for any corporate or private event – conferences, meetings, seminars, tradeshows, exhibitions, private dinners, parties, balls, weddings and outdoor events.
