There’s a cool new bar in town that’s got Muddy all hot and bothered and you need to try it! We know because Becketts Rooftop Bar hosted our marvellous Muddy Awards Winners 2023 bash, and we were all blown away by the stunning location, overlooking the city’s rooftops and Exeter Cathedral. What a spot for a sundowner, people.

There’s a cosmopolitan glass-sided indoor bar where the skilled bartenders rustle up the cocktails and you can relax on jewel-coloured velvet, and an outdoor terrace rocking serious beach vibes, with a covered canopy and speakers pumping out chilled tunes.

Here’s just for drinks (Thursday to Sunday) so booking is essential if you want that perch. Top tip: keep your eyes peeled on their socials for regular Live Sessions if you want the added zhuzh of live music and mezze.

How to find it you ask? Hotfoot it to Hotel Indigo, Exeter’s newest hotel just off the High Street. Head to the lift behind reception in Colson’s Bar (also excellent), press the button for Floor 8, and you’re there! Just add a Negroni.
