<p>Move over Euros, it&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.teamgb.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Olympic</a>s&nbsp;time! Time to stock up on Cheesy Wotsits and marvel at the Beautiful People who have strived to make it to Paris 2024, kicking off this Friday 26 July and culminating in the Closing Ceremony on Sunday 11 August 2024.</p>



<p>This year, Team GB’s class of 2024 consists of 327 athletes set to compete across 24 different sports. Out of them, 169 are returning Olympians and 74 already have an Olympic medal to their name. But the ones we&#8217;ll be shouting for loudest will be Devon&#8217;s Olympians. Yes, Tom Daley and Ben Proud of course, but we&#8217;ll also have eyes on this little lot, all making a small but mighty contribution to Team GB. Go, Devon!</p>

<p>He made his Olympic debut at 14 and finally won a gold medal at Tokyo 2020 to add to his three bronzes, making Paris his fifth Olympics. He is competing in the 10m synchro alongside&nbsp;<a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/noah-williams/4Bjgh1R7mWVUXCgoTQci0A">Noah Williams</a>.</p>

<p>This is the Plymouth-educated swimmer&#8217;s third Olympics. The 29 year old finished fourth at Rio and fifth in Tokyo in the 50m freestyle, but then became the first man to be crowned world, European and Commonwealth champion in 2020. He&#8217;s competing in the Men&#8217;s 50m Freestyle.</p>

<p>Born in South Africa, the 21 year old swimmer came to Plymouth to train aged 13, and  took Gold at the 2024 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships. </p>

<p>Kerenza is a doctor and won Silver at the 2023 World Championship. Modern Pentathlon includes fencing&nbsp;(one-touch épée),&nbsp;freestyle swimming,&nbsp;equestrian show jumping,&nbsp;pistol shooting, and&nbsp;cross country running. This year’s event has separate fencing, swimming, and equestrian competitions, with the outcome determining the competitor’s place in the final event, a combined laser shooting and running event.</p>



<p><strong>Watch her in action</strong>: Starts with the fencing on Thurs 8 August and runs to the final on Sunday 11 August, one of the last medals to be decided at the games.</p>

<p>Jacob rows alongside Morgan in the men’s eight; he was part of the bronze winning men’s eight at Tokyo, and he returns following complications from Covid in the intervening years in an attempt to go one or two better in Paris.</p>

<p>Chloe competed in the women’s eight at Tokyo 2020 – for 2024 she will row with Rebecca Edwards in the women’s pair.</p>

<p>The Exeter-born player is co-captain of England. Team GB has come fourth in the last two Olympics but, having scooped gold at the European Games in Poland in 2023, the flag bearer now has her eyes on the Paris 2024 prize.</p>

<p>The Totnes player made his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 and now has the responsibility as number one shot-stopper in goal. He has 69 international caps – 35 of those for England and 34 for GB. </p>

<p>The Kingsbridge-born player went to Churston Ferrers Grammar and has already enjoyed Olympic success with Team&#8217;s GB first ever gold in Rio 2016 and a bronze in Tokyo 2020.</p>

<p>The Exmouth player, who played from the age of 2 and made the England Team at 9, plays doubles with Sean Vendy. The pair were the first English men to reach the last four at the World Tour Finals in Thailand in January and took the Orleans Masters title in March.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/helen-glover/5VIZdDXb4deWkL16xcl0tJ">Helen Glover</a>&nbsp;might live in Berkshire but she grew up in Penzance and her parents still own and run the ice cream shop Jelberts in Newlyn.</p>



<p>It has been the mother of all comebacks. Triple Olympic champion Helen Glover was the first Team GB rower to compete at an Olympics after having children, going for gold alongside Polly Swann in the Women’s Pairs at Tokyo 2020, just missing out on a medal. She’s back for her fourth Olympics, this time as part of the women’s four.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/lola-tambling/GUeETfvEeS1pKT7qKGWcE">Lola Tambling</a>&nbsp;was crowned British national champion in 2022 and placed sixth at the 2023 World Championships. She started skateboarding at seven years old, was competing internationally by age 11 and now age 16 is hoping for a medal in Paris.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/morgan-bolding/2tHLutcUs3YOSYBjajoUw3">Morgan Bolding</a>&nbsp;is a double men’s eight world champion who started his career rowing with the Castle Dore Rowing Club at Golant, near Fowey.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/sam-sills/2BbqW1NoUy36IqCMZAEAOP">Sam Sills</a>&nbsp;is a former junior world champion who missed out on Rio and Tokyo but is full sail ahead for Paris 2024. Paris 2024 sees the introduction of the iQFOiL,&nbsp;the new windsurfing board that will be used at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.paris2024.org/en/venue/marseille-marina/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Marseille Marina</strong></a>, the Olympic venue for sailing. Instead of a dagger board, there is a foil, so the boards appear to float above the waves, and in theory, means that races can take place whether the conditions are ideal or not.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.teamgb.com/athlete/molly-caudery/4K0bvvP8Zsrl6ZwclbS9PA">Molly Caudery</a>&nbsp;won Commonwealth silver at Birmingham 2022 and placed fifth at the 2023 World Championships, before winning gold at the World Indoor Championships Glasgow 24. Breaking the British record with a 4.92m jump in Toulouse this year, she is one of British Athletics brightest medal chances and she’s aiming for gold.</p>
