Returning for its second year, <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/frosted-festivities-tickets-1318670893139?aff=oddtdtcreator" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Frosted Festivities</a> is a family-friendly Christmas event running on weekends until 28th December with both morning and afternoon sessions available.

Whisked into a winter wonderland by some of Santas cheeky elves, festive activities await excited children.

We&#8217;re talking cookie decorating, letters to Santa, reindeer food making and Christmas ornament decorating.&nbsp;

In a cosy nook filled with bean bags , kids &#8211; and us big kids &#8211; can snuggle up with a hot chocolate and cookie (all included in the price) to watch Christmas cartoons or listen to a traditional festive story from one of the elves.&nbsp;

But we know the real reason we’re all here, and the icing on the cake for my little one, was reeling off her Christmas list to Santa before happily accepting a gift and a chocolate coin. &nbsp;

When I asked my daughter what was her favourite things about meeting Santa: ‘Throwing the snowballs with the elves. It was really nice when we were in where Santa lives.&#8217;

One of the elves also told her that he was on the naughty list because he’d eaten one of the chocolates from a child&#8217;s advent calendar. Now every morning, she checks that her chocolate doesn’t have an elf&#8217;s bite marks in it!

Included in your ticket price is hot chocolate (with ALL the marshmallows) or mulled wine (for the grown ups) and a generous gingerbread snowman each too. Yum.&nbsp;Just outside in The Hub there is also barista style coffee available, a fully licensed bar and a VERY well stocked bouji shop where you can grab some snacks if the gingerbread snowman doesn’t fill you up.&nbsp;



We also tucked into a fabulous afternoon tea featuring cranberry and plain scones with Cornish clotted cream, festive sandwiches and a sweet selection of mince pie tarts and praline Yule logs. 



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-anything-else">ANYTHING ELSE?</h2>



A walk around the beautiful grounds is in order, as well as a pit-stop at the original Manor House (you can stay overnight also) where we enjoyed Afternoon Tea in a beautiful spot overlooking the grounds. Great to note that the grounds are also accessible and very dog friendly too.&nbsp;

I try to cram in as many Christmas based activities each year while my daughter is still young enough to embrace it and so we&#8217;ve done numerous Santa’s grottos over the last 5 years. But I have to say that this is probably the best yet. What I really loved was that the experience is across two hours meaning you can enjoy the experience at a relaxed pace. There were probably 10 families max, so it also felt very intimate and no being rushed through a line to see Santa.&nbsp;

The only possible small suggestion I would make would be the arrivals and check in process.&nbsp;Having checked in at reception, we were told to wait in the games room, but there was a fair bit of waiting around beforehand. Really not an issue for me, but I think if they had an elf or two there waiting for our arrival, rather than us seeing them arrive it might have made it seem even more magical.



Good for:&nbsp;A full day out experience. It was a perfect combination of a days activities&nbsp;and enjoying the beautiful outdoor space of the resort grounds.



Not for:&nbsp;Given that there were lots of hands on activites for the kids, this is probably not suitable for babies or kids under 18 months.
