<p>Re-opening for summer &#8217;24 on Saturday 1 June, you&#8217;re sure to find rich pickings at this classic Devon flower farm, from sunflowers, sweet peas, scented stocks and dahlias. On arrival, you&#8217;re given a bucket and a pair of snips and then let loose in the cutting patch &#8211; kids and dogs are fine as long as they&#8217;re supervised. Prices range from £12 for a small bucket to £80 for a large bucket (or £95 if picked for you) if say you&#8217;re sourcing for a wedding or special occasion. And if all that picking makes you parched, grab a cuppa at the Hill House tea room while you&#8217;re there.</p>

<p>A former Best Florist in the <a href="https://devon.muddystilettos.co.uk/awards/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Muddy Awards</a>, the fragrant Amelia grows thousands of gorgeous blooms for picking on her family-run two-acre plot. It&#8217;s £20 per bucket &nbsp;– bucket and snips supplied. She advises you remember to bring your camera and wear sensible footwear (nettles and grass etc). She&#8217;s recently opened a huge barn for her workshops on everything from wedding flowers to dahlias. Open every Saturday &#8211; May to Oct &#8211; 8am to 1pm.</p>

<p>Known for her gorgeous Lixton Flower Cart, which is open every weekend through summer on the roadside at Aveton Gifford, Claire supplies beautiful buckets of flowers for weddings, events, parties or photoshoots. You can also find her selling her flowers at Kingsbridge Farmer’s Market on the first Saturday of every month. DIY buckets from £30.</p>

<p>Based on a 1.5 acre nursery, South Milton Nursery was formerly a dilapidated bundle of polytunnels and greenhouses until Molly and her family turned it into a thriving flower farm. It&#8217;s open to the public (by appointment only) for picking most Wednesday evenings, from 5-7pm or Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm. A small jug is £7.50 and a large vase is £20 or fill a bucket for £60.</p>

In spring, you can pick your own tulips here, come mid-June, it&#8217;s time for their heir sweetly scented Lavender Festival.
