<p>I booked my tribe on this for a big birthday and I&#8217;d do it again like a shot. It&#8217;s a dawn start in a Devon field, where you help inflate the balloon, then take to the skies for an hour or so &#8211; with their Landrover in hot pursuit to collect you from wherever the winds take you. It&#8217;s exciting and yet so peaceful: you can hear the cows moo&#8217;ing in the the fields below, and if my memory serves me right, we had a glass of fizz and the kids got squash so all the bases covered! <em>From £120pp.</em></p>

<p>Fancy being towed to 2000ft up into the big-blue from Eaglescott Airfield near Umberleigh, before descending gracefully in ever deceasing spirals? With an instructor by your side, you get to take the controls of a classic Slingsby T2 Sedbergh &#8211; that&#8217;s a open cockpit side-by-side glider to you and me &#8211; while being shown how to keep your nose up and find those thermals. It&#8217;s only 15-20 minutes of your life but you won&#8217;t forget them in a hurry, in a good way. <em>£129pp.</em></p>

<p>If you love a leap into the unknown, how about whizzing across Meldon Viaduct&#8217;s gorge on a zip wire? Book in for the Tyrolean Traverse and you&#8217;ll be clipped in, before you take a deep breath and hop off the platform for an exhilarating seated flight across the river. Or if that&#8217;s simply not sufficiently high-octane for ya, you can abseil off the Viaduct down the 100ft to the valley floor below.</p>

Go ahead and jump, or why not go even higher and leap from 10,000ft for even more amazing views of Devon and the. Bristol Channel. You&#8217;ll take off in a Super Cessna from Dunkeswell Airfield, then experience a free-fall of up to 30 seconds, depending on how brave you are. You go girl! <p>Chocks away! Get your hands on the wheel of a Cessna 152, and take to the skies for a thirty-minute spin across the Devon skies.
