Heard about Bosun Bob The Salty Old Sea Dog? He’s the star of an engaging new children’s picture book of the same name about an intrepid seafaring pooch and his ocean adventures. It’s written and illustrated by two talented Devon friends (read the Muddy interview), Erin and Emily, who fulfilled a longtime dream of not only creating the book but setting up a publishing house, Langrove Publishing, in the process.

Erin’s charming prose is written in jaunty rhyming couplets, ideal for engaging young children, while Emily’s illustrations of the sea creatures and landscapes Bob sees along the way are just magical.

Erin told us how Bosun Bob’s tale was inspired by and written during her two-year trip on board her boat Rocket, which first set sail from Exmouth Marina.
