The Dock, Plymouth

Want sea views while you brunch? Check out this family-friendly gem on King Point Marina, serving up an all-day menu and a slap-up Sunday lunch.

If you’re a fan of sea views, city ‘scrapers, and watching yachts bob by, all while chowing down on excellent vittles, then you’re going to love The Dock.

Perched on the upstairs floor of an all-day, seaside-style café, this glass-sided eatery sits above the marina right next to the ferry terminal. It’s family-run and feels it, with a buzzy, adventurous vibe, thanks to the mix of clientele which range from mums with tots, to yachties, crew and travellers toting suitcases off on their holidays.

So far, so fun and we’ve not even made it to the menu! Crammed with tasty, home-made fare, choose from waffles and the full English for brekkie, to salads, sandwiches and larger mains of burgers, local-caught fish dishes, mussels and pasta. Plus, a dedicated menu for the ankle-biters, and Sunday lunch for when you can’t be bothered to put on the apron.

It’s licensed all day too, with a balcony and a decked terrace with a retractable roof. What a spot for sinking an Aperol and soaking up the sunshine.
