Where there is a local gap for quality goods beyond the usual, S&S fills it, whether it’s delicious deli goods and organic heritage seed bread (every Friday), cool Birkenstock & Blundstones footwear, American Vintage womenswear or local soaps handmade in nearby Clovelly.

We love Sunshine and Snow here on Muddy, not just because there’s nothing like it locally, but also for its truly inspiring founder-owner India Snow. India is the daughter of Ian Snow, known for Devon’s fair trade B CORP brand. She grew up super-involved in the family business, so ethical retailing is in her blood, as is her love of the artisanal, crafted and sustainable gear you’ll find in store.

Remarkably, India launched Sunshine & Snow at the tender age of 19, and in the space of just six years. has scooped the Muddy Award for Best Lifestyle Store, introduced a coffee shop and created a fabulous top floor events space for yoga, sound baths, Pilates and craft workshops. And she’s not stopping there. In the pipeline for summer 2025, is INBA, India’s personal passion project reflecting her love of good food and drink. If it’s as good as Sunshine & Snow, then her new casual eatery is going to be a must-go – serving up organic food raised on the family farm, along with DJ late nights and live music. We’ll be the first to let you know when it throws open its doors!
