Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple

North Devon’s largest playhouse, known for its annual pantomime and year round programme of toe-tapping musicals and A-list comics.

Want to catch a West End show, but don’t want to make the schlep to London? Queen’s Theatre has you covered with a whopping great range of brilliant local national shows, and their much-loved panto all year-round. For a fraction of the price of a GWR ticket, you can watch a National Theatre screening, live from a London stage, or see big name comedians such as Milton Jones and Joe Pasquale. The highlight of the autumn season is the pantomime, and it’s Beauty and the Beast for 2024, so better get booking.

A traditional playhouse, which is supported using public funding by Arts Council England, Queen’s Theatre is the largest auditorium in North Devon. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Barnstaple close to the Pannier Market, Butcher’s Row and good local bars and eateries, with its own bar for a tipple too.

We’ll be keeping you up to date with all the must-see show in the Muddy What’s On guide, so break a leg and get your act in gear. Go catch a show asap, daaarrling!
