Flapjackery, Tavistock

Luxury flapjacks, gluten-free and handmade on the edge of Dartmoor with a whopping delicious-dozen Taste of the West Awards.

Think you know flapjacks? Then you’ve not tried Flapjackery’s flapjacks. Handmade in Tavistock with British oats, locally sourced West Country ingredients, fairtrade brown sugar and real butter, they are beyond lush. So good, when it came to finding a sweet treat for this year’s Muddy Awards do, we knew Flapjackery was the one.

Set up by two talented bakers, Carol and Sally, they now have three shops in total, including one in Tavi, two in Somerset and one planned for Plymouth opening autumn 2021.

Their thing is their quite extraordinary range of unique flapjack flavours – Cherry Bakewell, Burnt Caramel and Seasalt, Caramel Latte, Clotted Cream Fudge and Salted Caramel Brownie. Plus, they’re all gluten-free and they do a signature award-winning range of Vegan Flapjacks, suitable for vegans, vegetarians and those with lactose intolerance.

Because you also buy them online, they make a brilliant gift of course, especially their Message Gift Boxes, with your words written in tasty white chocolate; the Taste of the West box with all 12 flavours – a winning combo – or you can build your own box.

So when you don’t want to say it with flowers, say it with a handmade Devon flapjack.
