In honour of the annual Devon Open Studios, Geoff Sellick, the artist-owner of Furzeleigh Mill Restaurant and Hotel in Buckfastleigh has framed a modern art-inspired menu, and we think Warhol and Heston would approve.

You will be able to tuck into everything from Salvador Dali-inspired drooping clock pizzas, and Mondrian-alike Battenburg cakes to paintbrush and palette-shaped cookies.

Admittedly, the Andy Warhol tomato soup looks like something that even Muddy’s tin-opening skills could muster, but this tribute to the American pop artist is homemade, just like everything else that comes out of Furzeleigh’s fine-smelling kitchens. We’re also looking forward to picturesque dishes inspired by the mighty Frida Kahlo, although we might give the Geoff’s Mess dessert a miss…
