Stuck in a Health & Fitness Rut?

I hear you. September is the month to refocus, but where to start? By asking Muddy's awesome expert, of course!

I recently posted about September being the new January – you know, a time to press the reset button, sling the kids back in school and focus on ‘me’.  You know, the ‘me’ who’s enjoyed a summer of ice creams and barbecue’s, washed down with wine; the ‘me’ who’s not seen the inside of a gym, or put on those running shoes for weeks; the ‘me’ who’s usually horizontal on the sofa by the time the Mudlet’s in bed? And the ‘me’ who feels as though they’re at the foot of a mountain that needs climbing and is quietly freaking out about it.

Like it or not, we’re now on a countdown to Christmas, people, so if you feel as though 2018 has achieved a PB in how quickly it’s hurtled by, September is the optimum time to really go for it – ditch the excuses, knuckle down and slide towards 2019 feeling strong. You with me?!

Claire, a former oncology nursing sister and now a mum and wife, totally understands the pressures of a busy life and how staying in shape can feel as though it’s a project permanently on the back burner. But you only have to spend five minutes with her, or at one of her group personal training camps to realise that it’s easier than you think to stay on the health and fitness wagon for a change.

I’ve never known anyone like Claire for gently batting away seemingly impossible obstacles and coming up with logical and constructive ideas for making lifestyle tweaks – but don’t take my word for it.
