Who’s up for some adventure? After months of being cooped up indoors, the Nature Valley Gone Wild Festival on 26-29 August 2021 can’t come soon enough for Muddy or indeed anyone looking to inspire their families to get off the couch and get outdoors.
Co-designed by the UK’s adventurer-in-chief, Bear Grylls, we’re promised a wild weekend of outdoor and water-based activities in the stunning setting of Powderham Castle near Exeter, suitable for adults and children aged 6 – 18.
The festival schedule is packed with a range of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, including kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the Exe Estuary, Be Military Fit family group workouts, a purpose built obstacle course, open water swimming and climbing. Expert instructors from the Bear Grylls Survival Academy will teach children and adults essential survival skills such as shelter building, fire lighting and campfire cooking.
The main stage will host an incredible line up of chart topping bands including Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Ministry of Sound Classical, Melanie C, Scouting for Girls, Morcheeba, Dick & Dom and Andy & The Odd Socks.
And that’s not all… festival-goers can also get inspired by world-famous explorers and adventurers, who will be sharing their amazing stories and leading activities. Joining Bear Grylls will be Steve Backshall, Nicola Adams, Ness Knight and Mollie Hughes to name but a few.
As the sun goes down over the castle you can indulge in locally sourced food from some of the finest chefs and street food vendors from across the South West.
