Say hello to Muddy's new favourite hangout on Torquay marina, where you grab a coffee and paddle board by day, and quaff a cocktail by night.
Not been to WeSUP on Torquay Marina yet? Where have you been?? We just hosted the Muddy Awards 2021 here – yep, it’s that good – and you should get it on your radar, pronto.
It’s a culture hub for coffee and cocktail connoisseurs and stand-up paddle boarders, and cooler than the cucumber in your Salcombe Gin (for whom they are an ambassador). It’s also uber friendly and down to earth, because it’s owned by two amazing guys – Sean and Harry – who we rate for their locally-focussed entrepreneurial spirit (they also have bases in Falmouth and Southampton), and for breathing new life into the seaside town.
They’ve done a fabulous job of styling the venue – dusky paintwork, giant palms, and a gin terrace which you will definitely want to get on your insta-feed.
But WeSUP is for more than just a great selfie with a gin ball, darling! Their paddle-board club is 80% women, setting off from their base on Torre Abbey Sands, so if you live locally, a great way to get active and social. If you’re more a dabbler, or just here on your hols, you can also book in for one-off beginner lessons, a private lesson or hire a kayak.
So, go say hi asap – they’re launching a new food offering this October, and if it’s anywhere near as good as what they do already, it’s going to be amazing.
