Get your fitness fix from one-woman dynamo and all-round inspiration, Sarah Danning, with her range of streaming dance, Hiit and stretch classes.
Meet the fabulously fun and energetic Sarah Danning, probably the most jaw-dropping fitness instructor we’ve met in a while, not least because she has completed three (YES THREE!!) Iron Man Triathlons.
In 2010, she qualified as a Level-3 fitness trainer, and now at 53 and a grandmother, Sarah has a bod most of us can only dream of, not to mention an extensive fan base in the Plymouth/South Hams area, specialising in mixed group fitness sessions both outdoors and in.
In normal times, she travels around giving live classes to women and men, ranging from their early 30s to their 70s, including cardio, dance, HiiT, stretch and her All Weather Girls Work Out on Wembury Beach, what she calls a “Tuesday morning sweat-fest” of squats, burpees, bear crawls and running around the beach.
Due to lockdown, it’s currently all happening via live-stream – 10 Zoom classes a week (see below for times) for locals and fitness fans as far afield as London and Sussex.
Sarah isn’t just about busting foxy dance moves and getting you to burn 800 cals an hour though, she’s got an approachable everywoman appeal that only comes with age and experience. She’s a pro at getting your bod in shape but also your head too. Having had her fair share of life’s ups and down, including a recent divorce, she brims with laughter, energy and an honest, effervescent positivity, you can’t help but be lifted by. Her message is – it doesn’t matter who you are, what you do or who’s been holding you back – you can overcome! And she’s so amazingly positive, you believe her.

Tuesday: 12pm Midday gentle stretch; 2pm Non jump HIIT 45 mins
Wednesday: Online 9.30am Cardio dance 1 hr; 11am Gentle Stretch 45 mins; 18.30 Stretch intermediate
Thursday: 9.30am Cardio dance/stretch 30 mins each; 11am Non Jump HIIT
Saturday: 9am HiiT Intermediate
