Le Vignoble Wine Lounge & Retail, Plymouth
Muddy says: If you’ve a love of the vine, then you’ll be in great company at this sophisticated indie wine lounge and merchant based in Plymouth’s historic Royal William Yard.
You won’t find anything snobby or unpretentious at Le Vignoble; but you will discover over 250 different wines, champagnes and liqueurs from all over the world, to try, buy or maybe bathe in, if you’re Beyonce and that’s your thing.
Owner Yannick and the team really want to know what you enjoy and help recommend wines they think you’ll love – and they’re incredibly spot-on with their suggestions. You can pour yourself a taster from as little as 60p, from one of the four natty wine serving systems and order up some sophisticated cuisine to complement your choice. You’ll find lots of wines that aren’t widely available in all the usual places and, if you’ve fallen for a particular bottle, it’s available to buy and quaff at home.
It’s a great spot to come and enjoy a bottle or two, but if you’re particularly keen to broaden your knowledge, then it’s worth knowing that Yannick also offers monthly wine tasting and education sessions. Just keep an eye out on their ever-changing calendar of events!
