Dreamcatchers, St Mawes
Muddy says: Give us more, more, more of Dreamcatchers in St Mawes! Luxury self-catering with 180-degree estuary views, concierge service and beds fit for a queen.
Love the freedom of self-catering but hate all the packing, the shopping, the cooking and aaargh, the inescapable washing? We hear you, sister! Dreamcatchers, perched 200m above St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall is a dream for minimalist-packers, as it’s owned by Amanda Selby, a mum and busy owner of St Mawes Retreats, who knows your pain. So, pack light as everything is here – along with 5 luxury bedrooms to sleep 10 (4 with sea views), 5 Villeroy & Boch bathrooms, two spacious terraces and cupboards full of all you need for sunny days and rainy ones, as well as loads of techy treats: coffee machine, wine fridge, Hypnos beds (as favoured by Her Maj) and a Wii console for the kids.
Amanda and her team can organise it all – a cook to come and make dinner and clear up afterwards (she’s a keeper), laundry, boat trips, child-minding, a reiki massage and facial from a local complementary therapist. It’s all the convenience of staying in a hotel, but with the freedom to come and go and space to relax in your own private and seriously special surroundings.
