Deer Park Country House

Muddy says: OMG I love it this Georgian wedding and party venue. Hurry up and get married please and invite me PRONTO or else I’m moving in. And never leaving.

Unique, quirky and with boundless opportunities for fun, Deer Park Country House pulls off that hard-to-achieve alchemy of being exclusive and upmarket without being boring and stuffy. It’s your classic Georgian manor – once a hotel, now solely for weddings and parties –  stuffed full of original art, velvet sofas, and generous bunches of flowers fresh-picked from the gardens.

Everywhere you turn, there’s something special and intriguing, from the amusing welcome signs down the long drive, to the bike tumbling with flowerpots in the porch – I promise you’ll feel like Alice in Wonderland. Hens can chill the night before in a three-bedroom Hen House; stags in The Shed complete with juke box and pool table, and you can spend your wedding night in a round treehouse complete with circular bed and slipper bath, the plushest bridal tree-suite I’ve ever clocked.

They REALLY know what they’re doing here, so you can ditch the clipboard and let the lovely long-serving staff and 2 wedding planners (some of who got hitched here, it’s that good) make it the best day ever. MD Mark is plugged into the London scene, and has conjured a series of gorgeous backdrops for your cast (glossy mags do shoots here), including an Italian Garden, a Mediterranean kitchen with pizza oven, a rotisserie, and a new orchard where they’re planning to produce their own sparkling apple juice. I can’t think of a more playful setting for a Big Day – be it an outdoor festival wedding or indoors in The Orangery, and with 33 rooms and seating for 200, you won’t have to leave anyone off your list.
