West Charleton Grange
Muddy says: With six super-luxe self-catering cottages nestled in one of the prettiest parts of Devon, is there anywhere more geared up for family-friendly holidays and group shindigs? Err, we think not.
There’s just one problem with West Charleton Grange, as far as we can tell. Once you’ve unloaded and ditched the car, you may struggle to drag yourself away from this fab, family-friendly spot. But if you do, you’re in danger of missing some of South Devon’s highlights. Ooh, dilemma!
Beautifully appointed, within a small, secluded and sheltered valley, near the charming estuary town of Kingsbridge, the cottages, sleeping between two and six people, are ideally located for exploring the South Hams, being only one or two minutes from the water’s edge and rarely more than fifteen minutes from the area’s many family friendly beaches.
The interiors are stylish, the little extras luxury and the service from the unobtrusive on-site owners nothing short of perfect. Loll around in the spacious grounds in sunshine; light the log burner and cosy up with a film or a board game in winter.
The on-site facilities are superb, with a gorgeous heated indoor swimming pool and short tennis court. Children have access to a dedicated play lawn, with swings, slide, fully furnished Wendy House, sit-on tractors, football goal and plenty of other toys to keep them amused.
You’ll explore, relax and catch-up here, whether it’s a short romantic break that you fancy, or an extended family get-together. Read the full Muddy review here.
