Exeter Cookery School
Muddy says: aprons on and mixing spoons at the ready! This exciting new school on the culinary block is brilliant for people of all ages and abilities wanting a cookery course that’s fun, relaxed and tasty! *disclaimer: calories involved. Good ones.
One thing always strikes me about these guys: everyone’s always smiling and looking like they’re having a lot of fun. Ok, two things: there are a ridiculous variety of great cookery courses to choose from. Alright, three: how good does the food look?! Shall I go on?
On Exeter’s historic quayside, in a converted 1830s warehouse, owners and husband and wife team Jim and Lucy having been teaching people to cook since summer 2016 (after a very successful time of it teaching the French to cook *cough* in the Dordogne). People like you and I can go along and be taught some cheffy tricks of the trade, whether in basic baking, or with fancy pants desserts and everything in-between. Half-days, full days, corporate and team building days, if you’ve a yearning to get in the kitchen, they’re up for it.
You only have to take a look at the course availability calendar to see just how much is on offer, for all ages and abilities and priced extremely reasonably, in my opinion. So, if you fancy trying something new, or maybe even gifting someone the experience of cooking in a relaxed, hands-on kind of way, you’ll be very pleased you found this exciting new city spot.
