Roll out the bunting and don the tiara! The Queen's having a bit of a do and we're all invited. From street parties, to cream teas and fly-pasts, here's where to enjoy her Platinum Jubilee around the county.

Four days of partying you say? That calls for our mega-guide to Her Madge’s remarkable anniversary. There’s something for everyone in our curated guide. Read on and make it a royally memorable weekend.

STREET PARTIES & FESTIVALS

Street Party, various around Exeter City Centre, Thurs 2 Jun

The whole of the city centre, including the High Street, Cathedral Green Princesshay and the Guildhall are revving up with lots of entertainment and some great music at this Jubilee street party, including the Liberty sisters, the Exeter Jazz Orchestra and Footloose Four. Quite the 40s vibe! You get the feeling Her Maj would approve. As well as the live music, benches and tables will be set up on the High Street with Jubilee-inspired drinks available from the newly arrived Beach Bar in Princesshay.

Jubilee Weekend Celebrations, Royal William’s Yard, Plymouth, Fri 3 – Sun  5

A weekend full of fun, kicking off with the chilled out Friday tunes at the Yard Sessions with Andy Quick at Firestone Arches at Firestone Bay, followed by the Food and Craft market on the 4th and 5th, so plenty to do whether you’re royalist or not.

English Riviera Airshow, Paignton Green, Sat 4 Jun – Sun 5 Jun

A spectacular weekend is planned for the South Devon Bay starting on Thursday with the lighting of one of the Queen’s Jubilee Beacons and continuing over the weekend with Music on the Meadows, a huge, free party at Torre Abbey filled with loads of entertainment for adults and children alike. The air show itself is on the Saturday and Sunday morning looks set to be fabulous, featuring the iconic RAF Red Arrows.

Jubilee Flotilla, Paignton Green, 2.30pm, Sun 5 Jun

One for boaties – a Jubilee Flotilla is taking to the bay, with celebrated and private vessels representing all parts of the area’s coastal community. Watch from the shore or swerve the crowds and get on the water yourself by booking a boat with Torquay Watersports instead.

Jubilee in Dartmouth, Thurs 2 – Sun 5 Jun

Dartmouth know how to do a regatta, and they’re not letting themselves down for the Queen’s big bash, with everything from beacon lighting, a torchlit procession from the Naval College, boat rides and a weekend of music in Coronation Park, culminating in a big Jubilee Picnic on Sunday.

The Big Jubilant Jamboree, Dartington Estate, Totnes, Thurs 2 – Sat 4 Jun

Three family-friendly days of live music, comedy, family fun, afternoon teas, and, ooh, gin making in the summer house, all based around Dartington’s Great Lawn. We fancy the sophisticated cream tea and jazz on Thursday, plus screenings on Friday and Saturday night of Elizabeth: A Portrait in Parts, a documentary about HRH’s reign. Bring your Union Jacks!

Queen’s Jubilee Weekend, Clovelly, Sat 4 Jun

North Devon’s iconic fishing village and the Red Lion Hotel in the harbour are hosting a day of music, artisan stalls and gastronomic delights.

Exmouth Festival, Imperial Recreation Ground, Exmouth, Thurs 2 – Sun 5 Jun

Another festival makes a welcome return with all the live music, theatre, circus, art, food and drink that we have missed these last few years. Much jubilation, and another of Queenie’s beacons will be lit.

Party in the Park, Bridwell House, Cullompton, Fri 3  Jun

Looks like Bridwell is serving up a splendid weekend of treats for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations as one would expect from a Mountbatten – starting with Friday evening’s Party in the Park and sonic firework display, and continuing through the weekend with a Saturday craft market and a vintage car show on Sunday.

Jubilee Party Weekend, RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington, Thurs 2 – Sun 5 Jun

It’s a weekend of music and celebration among the flowers at RHS Garden Rosemoor with sessions of taiko drumming, and community talent with town bands from Hatherleigh and Appledore.

AFTERNOON TEAS

Poise those pinkies for HRH! The south-west is awash with Jubilee teas, with many thoughtfully extending their special offers on the sparkling long after the celebrations are over.

Torquay’s Lincombe Hall are celebrating Her Maj (and the arrival of their talented new pastry chef) with a great offer – book their £25 Afternoon Tea from 21 May and receive a complimentary upgrade to a Sparkling Afternoon Tea. Yes, Ma’am!

Always good for a quality themed afternoon tea, Plymouth’s Boringdon Hall Hotel are serving up a red, white and blue Jubilee Tea in the Great Hall with scones, tiffin, macaron and dainty sandwiches, filled with – what else – Coronation chicken.

Bistrot Pierre is extending the celebrations right up until 18 June, offering a limited-edition Jubilee afternoon tea for £16.95 per person – or upgrade to a sparkling wine/cocktail afternoon tea for £19.95.

Head to Okehampton’s Lewtrenchard Manor for a very special Afternoon tea with a glass of Pimms. Lovely stroll around the grounds too if you eat too many dainties. £35pp

Fancy being Queen for the day? Charlie Fridays in Lynton are throwing a Platinum Jubbly where you’re welcome to don your best tiara, enjoy Pimms, Cream teas, Taj McClarke curries, and dance from 1pm till late.

Topsham’s award-winning Darts Farm are unleashing A Royal Feast, on Thurs 2 Jun, at their new restaurant, The Farm Table, doubtless fit for a Queen, followed by their Jubilee Food Festival on Saturday, with tasty tastings and mini masterclasses.

Fancy the tipple but hold the scones? Do it the English way with Axminster Lyme Bay Winery’s Right Royal Tasting at the Cellar Door on Weds 1 June. Go 1-3pm to try a flight of English wines for £9pp. Cheers!

AT HOME

Need a tasty Jubilee showstopper for family and friends? How’s about this stunning Almond and Orange Cake, devised by Trewithen Dairy as a twist on the traditional Victoria sponge? Grab the recipe and get baking here and save me a slice (or two).

And it wouldn’t a celebration without a toast, so good job Sandford Orchards have come up with just the tipple for the cider drinkers in the family – a limited Jubilee edition of their bestselling Devon Red. Cheers!
